GT machine was established in 1977 as an engine repair
operation in a small rented garage. We had minimal equipment
and space. Within a couple of years I moved to our current
location and began to grow in both capability and workspace.
My goal has always been to be able to completely service an
engine in order to guarantee the quality of my work. The
motivation to continually develop with more capability and
quality control was to be able to produce engines that would
be respectable in the performance sector. This was a big
challenge as each operation required equipment. Today GT
machine has about reached that goal of being complete. Engine
service basically consists of Inspection & Testing both on an
overall and component level, Repairing, Machining and
blueprinting of machined surfaces, cleaning and conditioning
of the components, and disassembly and reassembly of the
units.

- Wet Cleaning – Solvent based, Hot Soak tank, Spray

- Dry Cleaning – Thermal oven, metal shot cleaning, Glass
Bead cleaning
- Inspection – Magna-Flux, Dye check, and Pressure testing
- Machining – Crankshaft, polishing, grinding & balancing
- Block – Align boring, align honing, cylinder boring,
cylinder honing, decking, blueprinting
- Connecting Rod – reconditioning big end, recondition
small end, polishing, shot peening, balancing, aligning
- Piston – reconditioning, pin fitting, fly cutting,
balancing
- Cylinder Head – Surfacing, valve guide
repair/replacement, valve seat
replacement, valve seat profiling, valve seat grinding,
valve reconditioning, valve spring inspection.
- Custom lathe and millwork, as needed.
- Repair – crack repair, aluminum welding, cast iron
welding, pinning thread repair
- Miscellaneous component repair
- Testing – engine diagnosis, engine dynamometer testing,
electronic fuel injector testing and service.
